Океанологические и биологические исследования арктических и южных морей России positions of all oceanographic and hydrobiological observation in the sea and an opportu nity of their interdisciplinary comparison, opens new prospects for paleoecological recon struction, short- and long-term forecasting of a climate and conditions of sea ice, bioeffi ciency and fishery productivity, exarticulation of an anthropogenous component in its global variability. 111.- 4, tables - 6, references - 16. KSC RAS, 2006. - P. 412-433. The results of radio-ecological investigations carried out by specialists of MMBI in the Barents and the Azov Seas in 1990-2004 are presented. Contribution of the global, regional and local sources into the contamination of the Barents and the Azov Seas eco systems is estimated. Regularities of the contents of artificial radio-nuclides (137Cs, 90Sr, 6Co) since the moment of the nuclear weapons testing up to nowadays giving the basis for the forecasting of radiological situation are revealed. It is proved that the coastal eco system is the large-scale marginal filter and the accumulator of the anthropogenic nu clides. Regularities of radio-isotopes bioaccumulation are established. Classification of the coastal marine areas by the degree of contamination of the bottom sediments with radio-nuclides is presented. The conclusion is drawn that the Chernobyl emission impact in the Azov Sea is still felt whereas in the northern Seas these emissions are practically not noticeable. 111.- 7, tables - 1, references - 37. For the current stage of marine nature exploitation the sharpening of different problems is typical, these are as follows: sustainable exploitation of marine bioresources; agreement of the interests of marine fishery and oil-gas complex; organization of the coastal zones management. Revelation of factors affecting the fishery resources, the esti mation of the environmental assessment of definite oil-gas projects, strategic ecological estimation of the economic complex of the Barents Sea, optimization of the coastal zones management, information supply of investigations and sea-going activity - this is s direc tion of the MMBI which results are reflected in this article.
